About the role#
This internship provides first-hand exposure to construction operations. You will work in administrative and operational areas to apply classroom concepts to business operations. The program includes 1:1 mentorship and networking opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Support the company safety culture and follow all safety, environmental, and ethical policies.
- Help project teams monitor safety, costs, and construction schedules.
- Assist with bid processes, contract development, and planning meetings.
- Coordinate material purchases, deliveries, and tracking.
- Participate in customer relationship management.
- Perform manual labor tasks and operate heavy equipment.
- Complete specific project work as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving history.
- Basic computer skills in MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work on feet for long periods and walk across uneven terrain.
- Previous construction or intern experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of software for take-offs and bidding is a plus.
