About the role#
The Credit and Fraud Risk (CFR) function at American Express is responsible for global risk decisions that uphold operational excellence and drive innovation. As an intern in the Product Innovation, Credit & Fraud Risk program, you will join the Risk Products team to help bring risk strategies to life. You will collaborate with partners across Marketing, Finance, Technology, and Legal to build analytical capabilities and solutions that minimize risk while improving the customer experience.
What you'll do#
- Define product vision, create and execute product roadmaps, and communicate with stakeholders.
- Support the development of next-generation software products and solutions to solve risk management needs.
- Analyze data to assess product performance and make data-driven decisions regarding future states.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define product features, user stories, and business requirements.
- Host daily stand-up meetings with technology partners to resolve development issues.
- Create documentation, status updates, and presentations to share insights and recommendations with leadership.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or Marketing.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in analytical and presentation tools, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly.
