About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work within the Corporate Planning and Analysis function of the American Express Finance organization. Interns are assigned a project focused on solving a real business challenge, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of the business and its needs. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Provide analysis and decision support to the Finance organization.
- Gather and analyze information from various sources to identify business trends.
- Articulate how identified trends impact the business.
- Learn to communicate decisions clearly to gain buy-in from stakeholders.
- Hone analytical acumen and communication skills by tailoring complex messages to specific audiences.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time bachelor’s degree program with a focus in Finance or Business Administration.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Ability to analyze and manipulate large amounts of data to generate insights and recommendations.
- Strategic thought leadership and creativity in synthesizing data into clear narratives.
- Programming skills are considered a plus.
- Employment eligibility to work in the United States without company visa sponsorship.
