    About the role#

    We are looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineering Co-op or Intern to join our team in Austin. You will work alongside manufacturing engineers, quality teams, and production staff to support the development and scaling of our manufacturing processes. This role is for someone who enjoys solving real-world problems and wants to gain practical experience on the production floor.

    What you'll do#

    • Support daily production and process improvement activities.
    • Assist in developing and documenting manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
    • Work with technicians and engineers to identify and resolve manufacturing challenges.
    • Design and implement manufacturing fixtures, tooling, and assembly aids.
    • Assist with production line layouts, workstation improvements, and material flow.
    • Collect and analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and bottlenecks.
    • Participate in root cause investigations and corrective actions for quality issues.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost, and efficiency.
    • Assist with time studies, capacity analysis, and production planning.
    • Support new product introduction and the transition of products into production.
    • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Design Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations.
    • Participate in hands-on builds, testing, troubleshooting, and process validation.
    • Maintain engineering documentation and present project results to the team.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering.
    • Strong interest in manufacturing, production, hardware, robotics, or electromechanical systems.
    • Ability to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard engineering tools.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional partners.
    • Previous internship, co-op, or hands-on engineering experience is preferred.
    • Experience with CAD software, such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Creo.
    • Familiarity with GD&T, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma.
    • Practical experience with machining, fabrication, assembly, or electronics.
    • Experience with engineering clubs, robotics teams, or similar technical projects.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Austin, Texas.
    • This is a full-time, on-site, paid position.
    • We do not offer visa sponsorship for this role.
