About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will work directly with the team building autonomous weapon systems. You will contribute to hardware that is fielded for national security, moving beyond simulations to solve problems on real equipment. This is a full-time, paid role based in Austin for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Design electrical systems that power and connect sensors, computers, and actuators.
- Manage circuit design, wire harness and interconnect tasks, and embedded hardware bring-up.
- Ensure power distribution and signal integrity for systems that must perform reliably in the field.
- Perform hands-on lab work using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other test equipment to debug hardware.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Project experience or coursework in circuit design, embedded systems, or hardware integration.
- Experience working in a lab environment with physical test equipment.
- Interest in seeing your work integrated into hardware that is deployed.
