About the role#
Aecon is hiring a Co-op Assistant Coordinator to join the project controls team within the Civil East division in Toronto. This role focuses on cost control activities for major infrastructure projects. You will work closely with project managers and analysts to support reporting and performance tracking.
What you'll do#
- Support the project team with cost control activities.
- Gather and share risk-related data with stakeholders.
- Assist the Project Controls Manager and Analysts with performance analysis, reporting, and document control.
- Provide benchmarking information to functional groups to support continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain project dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators.
- Validate and analyze project cost and progress information.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and trend analysis tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a University or Technical College program for Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Understanding of project management, project controls, or cost engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Advanced Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication, organization, and basic presentation skills.
- A proven record of good performance and attendance.
- Experience with Power BI or Primavera P6 is an asset.
- Bilingualism in French is an asset.
