About the role#
The Environment Health & Safety (EHS) Co-op student supports the EHS Shared Services team with systems and performance initiatives. You will gain hands-on experience in reporting, program support, and continuous improvement while working with various teams across the organization. This is a 4-month position beginning in January 2027.
What you'll do#
- Provide general support to the EHS Shared Services team on various projects.
- Collect, organize, and coordinate EHS data and reports.
- Prepare EHS dashboards, presentations, and performance summaries.
- Maintain EHS systems and tools, including data entry and troubleshooting.
- Track incidents, corrective actions, and key safety metrics.
- Coordinate meetings, training sessions, and other EHS activities.
- Manage EHS documentation, templates, and resource pages.
- Collaborate with projects, sectors, and shared services to support system improvements.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives for EHS processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Studies, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with well-developed organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A genuine interest in health, safety, and environmental performance in construction or corporate settings.
Location & details#
- Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with an expectation of three days per week in the office.
- Type: Full-time, paid co-op term.
- Salary Range: $46,000 to $48,000 per year.
