About the role#
Aecon is hiring a Project Coordinator Co-op to support the Darlington New Nuclear Project in Bowmanville, Ontario. You will work on-site at the project office or trailer to support the construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor. This role involves working with construction and engineering teams to ensure project requirements are met.
What you'll do#
- Assist in developing and maintaining Comprehensive Work Packages.
- Identify and report design deviations and secure necessary approvals.
- Act as a liaison between field trades and design engineers to resolve problems.
- Write detailed work plans and prepare project deliverables, including as-built drawings.
- Review project designs for compliance with engineering principles and contract requirements.
- Monitor safety programs and implement quality assurance policies.
- Provide regular status and progress reports to the project team and management.
- Use 3D modeling to support construction activities.
- Manage project expenditures within budget limits.
- Coordinate technical developments and scheduling tasks.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including report writing.
- Ability to work in-person at the site office.
- Valid G license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Aconex, Bluebeam, and Excel is an asset.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Strong interpersonal skills for team collaboration.

- Pay Range: $23 - $28 per hour.
