About the role#
The Administrative Fellowship is a one-year, post-graduate program designed to provide early careerists with broad knowledge of healthcare operations and strategic planning. Fellows gain exposure to diverse divisions, departments, and cross-functional teams throughout the Advocate Health enterprise. You will work under the guidance of a preceptor and receive support from a network of senior leaders and former fellows.
What you'll do#
- Manage a diverse portfolio of healthcare projects and contribute to the progress of these initiatives.
- Direct or lead the work of others in assigned work groups, task forces, or projects.
- Participate in strategic planning processes.
- Study and apply improvement methodologies, including data collection and analysis, group facilitation, and implementation strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, administrative colleagues, and allied health staff to promote team-based care.
- Meet regularly with leadership to discuss fellowship progress and project updates.
What you'll need#
- Master's Degree in Health Care Administration, Business (with a Healthcare Management focus), or Public Health.
- Graduation within two calendar years from a program accredited by CAHME or AASCB.
- Status as a US Citizen or permanent resident.
- Ability to lead projects and people while managing deadlines.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- This is a full-time, on-site role (40 hours per week).
- The fellowship begins June 7, 2027, and ends June 6, 2028.
- This position is paid.
