About the role#
The Administrative Fellowship is a one-year, post-graduate, project-based program designed to provide early careerists with a broad understanding of healthcare operations and strategic planning. Fellows gain experience across diverse divisions, departments, and cross-functional teams while receiving support from senior leaders and former fellows. This role is a full-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Manage a diverse portfolio of healthcare projects, making meaningful contributions to initiatives and meeting sponsor needs.
- Build a broad range of healthcare management skills by working effectively with physicians, administrative colleagues, and allied health staff.
- Lead or direct the work of others within assigned work groups or task forces.
- Identify and implement ways to continuously improve processes and outcomes through data collection, analysis, and facilitation.
- Participate in strategic planning processes and attend relevant state and national healthcare management meetings.
- Meet with leadership on a regular basis to discuss the fellowship and report on project progress.
What you'll need#
- A Master's Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration (with a healthcare management focus), or Public Health.
- Graduation within two calendar years from a program accredited by CAHME or AASCB.
- Status as a US Citizen or permanent resident.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
- Ability to lead projects and work effectively in a team environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Winston Salem, North Carolina.
- Term: June 7, 2027, to June 6, 2028.
- Work Modality: On-site, Monday through Friday.
