About the role#
The Administrative Fellowship at Advocate Health is a one-year, full-time, post-graduate program designed to provide early careerists with broad exposure to healthcare operations and strategic planning. Fellows work under the guidance of a preceptor and receive support from a network of senior leaders and former fellows. The program runs from June 7, 2027, to June 6, 2028, and offers opportunities to explore interests in finance, quality, human resources, business development, and healthcare management.
What you'll do#
- Manage a diverse portfolio of healthcare projects and contribute to the work product of these initiatives.
- Collaborate with physicians, administrative colleagues, and allied health staff to promote team-based medicine.
- Participate in strategic planning processes and contribute perspectives on current healthcare trends.
- Direct or lead work within assigned groups, task forces, or projects.
- Apply improvement methodologies, including data collection and analysis, to enhance processes and patient care outcomes.
- Meet regularly with leadership to discuss fellowship progress and attend relevant state and national meetings.
What you'll need#
- A Master's Degree in Health Care Administration, Business (with a healthcare management focus), or Public Health from a program accredited by CAHME or AASCB.
- Must be a recent graduate within two years prior to the start of the fellowship on June 7, 2027.
- Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, organize work, and communicate effectively under pressure.
- Strong alignment with the Advocate Health enterprise purpose and commitments.
Location & details#
- Location: Oak Brook, Illinois.
- Work Modality: On-site, Monday through Friday.
- Compensation: $34.00 per hour.
- Term: Summer 2027 start.
