About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in retail operations and management. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand the business and develop leadership skills. The role is designed for students interested in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
What you'll do#
- Complete sections of the Buckle Management Manual covering orientation, leadership, recruiting, interviewing, and hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Recruit, train, and develop teammates while maintaining a positive store culture.
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks including cashiering, register procedures, and merchandise display.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Area and District Managers.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program at a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- No prior experience or training is necessary for this position.

- Location: Sparks, Nevada.
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
- The schedule is rolling and requires flexibility, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
