Sales and Management Intern

About the role#

The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on delivering an enjoyable shopping experience for guests while gaining hands-on experience in retail operations, merchandising, and leadership. Interns work closely with the Store Manager to understand the business model and develop management skills. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.

What you'll do#

• Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide high-quality service.
• Achieve personal sales-per-hour and average sales goals set by store management.
• Complete assigned sections of the Buckle Management Manual, including Teammate Orientation and Beginning Leadership.
• Lead and motivate the team by tracking department metrics and performance data.
• Develop and maintain deep knowledge of customer service expectations and product offerings.
• Perform operational tasks such as cashiering, processing freight, maintaining store displays, and routine facility cleaning.
• Manage a specific product category by setting goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, or a relevant field.
• Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that may include mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
