Sales & Management Intern

About the role#

The Sales & Management Internship is a summer program designed to provide hands-on experience in retail operations, merchandising, and leadership. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will gain insight into the retail business model while contributing to the store's mission of providing an enjoyable shopping experience for guests. This is a full-time, on-site role intended for students interested in a long-term commitment with the company.

What you'll do#

• Greet guests with a friendly attitude and provide personalized service, including wardrobing and product recommendations.
• Achieve personal sales-per-hour and total net sales goals.
• Maintain and share expertise on current sales, promotions, and product ranges with the team.
• Complete required training sections of the Buckle Management Manual, including orientation and leadership modules.
• Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking performance results.
• Perform operational tasks such as cashiering, handling freight, re-merchandising, and maintaining store cleanliness.
• Provide weekly progress reports to area and district management.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program at a four-year college or university, specifically in Business Administration, Marketing, or Human Resources.
• No prior experience or training is required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
• A strong interest in a long-term professional commitment with the company.
