About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern supports the store mission of creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests. This role works closely with the Store Manager to learn the fundamentals of retail operations and management. Interns gain hands-on experience by managing a specific product category, setting sales goals, and tracking performance metrics. This is a paid, on-site, full-time internship with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests with a friendly attitude and provide service throughout the store, including the sales floor, fitting rooms, and register area.
- Perform sales and operational tasks such as cashiering, merchandise displays, and register procedures.
- Maintain and share knowledge of current sales, promotions, and customer service expectations.
- Assist guests with product selection, wardrobing, and special orders.
- Complete leadership training modules and provide weekly progress reports to management.
- Manage a product category by tracking results, educating teammates, and leading sales efforts.
- Handle freight, re-merchandising, and maintain a clean, organized store environment.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and complete assigned special projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Psychology, or Human Resources.
- No prior experience or training is required.
- A strong focus on customer service and a professional, positive attitude.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and maneuver up to 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
