About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on delivering an enjoyable shopping experience for guests while gaining a comprehensive understanding of retail business operations. Interns work closely with store management to develop leadership, merchandising, and recruiting skills. This role involves completing specific sections of the management manual, providing weekly progress reports, and managing a product category to set and track sales goals.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service across the sales floor, fitting rooms, and register area.
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks, including cashiering, merchandise displays, and facility maintenance.
- Maintain and share knowledge of current sales, promotions, and store policies.
- Assist guests with product selection, wardrobing, and special orders.
- Support store operations by handling freight, performing price markdowns, and maintaining a clean, organized store.
- Lead and motivate the team by tracking performance metrics for specific product categories.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Psychology, or Human Resources.
- A strong customer service focus and interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- No prior experience or training is necessary.
