About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern supports the store mission of creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand retail business operations and management responsibilities. This role focuses on developing leadership, merchandising, and recruiting skills through hands-on experience and specific assignments from the Buckle Management Manual.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service.
- Answer questions regarding store policies, merchandise, and current promotions.
- Present merchandise to maximize sales and maintain an organized, shoppable store environment.
- Complete assigned sections of the Buckle Management Manual, including Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting tasks.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Perform operational tasks such as cashiering, processing freight, and maintaining security standards.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Area and District Managers.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- No prior experience or training is required.
