About the role#
The Sales & Management Intern position focuses on creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests while gaining a comprehensive understanding of retail operations. You will work closely with the Store Manager to learn the fundamentals of Buckle’s business, develop leadership skills, and gain hands-on experience in sales, merchandising, and store management.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide assistance with merchandise selection and wardrobing.
- Answer guest questions regarding store policies, sales, and promotions.
- Present merchandise in a way that maximizes sales and maintains an organized, shoppable store environment.
- Complete Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting tasks as outlined in the management manual.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Perform operational tasks including cashiering, processing freight, and maintaining store security.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area and District Managers.
What you'll need#
- Currently in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
- An interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- No prior retail experience or training is required.
