Sales & Management Intern

About the role#

The Sales & Management Intern position focuses on creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests while gaining a comprehensive understanding of retail operations. You will work closely with the Store Manager to learn the fundamentals of Buckle’s business, develop leadership skills, and gain hands-on experience in sales, merchandising, and store management.

What you'll do#

• Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide assistance with merchandise selection and wardrobing.
• Answer guest questions regarding store policies, sales, and promotions.
• Present merchandise in a way that maximizes sales and maintains an organized, shoppable store environment.
• Complete Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting tasks as outlined in the management manual.
• Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
• Perform operational tasks including cashiering, processing freight, and maintaining store security.
• Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area and District Managers.

What you'll need#

• Currently in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
• An interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
• No prior retail experience or training is required.
