About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern role at The Buckle, Inc. is designed for students seeking to develop their retail leadership skills. You will work closely with the store management team to learn the operational, sales, and merchandising aspects of our business. This is a paid, on-site internship based in Branson, Missouri, that offers a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Complete key sections of the Buckle Management Manual, including Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating your teammates on the product, and tracking your performance results.
- Perform daily retail operations, such as cashiering, merchandise displays, and maintaining a clean store environment.
- Develop a deep understanding of our sales presentation and merchandising processes.
- Provide weekly progress reports and updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications at a four-year college or university.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.
