    About the role#

    The Inter-American Development Bank is hiring a graduate student for a paid, two-month internship within the Partnerships Solutions team. This role is based at our headquarters in Washington, D.C., and offers an opportunity to gain professional experience in development work and corporate management.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist the Partnerships Solution team in identifying and developing strategic alliances.
    • Conduct market research and collect data on partnership opportunities across IDB member countries, including regions in Asia and Europe.
    • Prepare country profiles and intelligence briefs to support operational work.
    • Contribute to research projects focused on priority areas, such as climate change.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment as an active graduate student (master's or Ph.D.) in Political Science, with at least 50% of coursework completed.
    • Graduation date must occur after the internship period.
    • Fluency in English and a working knowledge of at least one other Bank language (Spanish, French, or Portuguese).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
    • You must be a national of an IDB member country.
    • You must not have previously worked at the IDB or IDB Invest in any capacity, including as a staff member, contractor, or through the Complementary Workforce.
    • No family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity or second degree of affinity) may currently work at the IDB or IDB Invest.

    • Location: Washington, D.C., United States.
    • Term: Winter 2027 (January 16th to March 15th, 2027).
    • Modality: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week).
    • Compensation: This is a paid internship.
