About the role#
We are looking for a student to join our Category Sales team for the Summer 2027 internship program. You will learn about category management within a large grocery wholesaler. This role involves gaining hands-on experience in strategic planning, execution, and analysis. You will work with internal and external partners to achieve project goals and influence future business activities. You will also have the opportunity to present your insights to the Executive Leadership Team.
What you'll do#
- Learn about category management processes and tools.
- Make recommendations regarding key business activities.
- Work with your immediate team and business partners to reach project goals.
- Drive efficient and profitable decisions that benefit our members.
- Present findings to executive leadership.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Junior or senior standing is preferred, though recent graduates are also welcome to apply.
- Strong organizational, communication, and process improvement skills.
- High attention to detail and a willingness to ask questions.
- Ability to follow directions and take initiative.
- Interest in the grocery, logistics, and supply chain fields.
- Ability to commit to a full-time, 40-hour per week schedule for the 10-week program.
- Reliability and the ability to work overtime if needed.

- This internship is located in Kansas City, Kansas.
- The program runs from May 25, 2027, to July 30, 2027.
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site position.
- The pay rate is $21 per hour.
