Sales and Management Intern

About the role#

The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on delivering an enjoyable shopping experience for every Guest. Interns work directly with the Store Manager to gain a comprehensive understanding of retail operations, sales strategies, and management responsibilities. This role balances daily sales and merchandising tasks with leadership development projects designed to build your professional skillset.

What you'll do#

• Provide legendary service by greeting Guests, answering questions, and creating a personalized wardrobing experience.
• Assist with sales floor operations, including cashiering, merchandise displays, fitting room assistance, and preparing items for alterations.
• Develop product knowledge and share it with the team to help reach sales goals.
• Complete required sections of the Buckle Management Manual, including Teammate Orientation, leadership training, and recruiting procedures.
• Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, tracking results, and educating the team on that category.
• Provide weekly progress reports to area and district management and participate in monthly conference calls.
• Maintain store standards, including loss prevention, inventory handling, and facility cleanliness.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant field such as Business Administration or Marketing.
• A strong interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and specific holidays as required by business needs.
