Sales and Management Intern

About the role#

The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests while learning the fundamentals of retail business and management. Interns work closely with the Store Manager to gain hands-on experience in sales, merchandising, and store operations. This is a rolling, on-site internship for students interested in a long-term commitment with the company.

What you'll do#

• Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service.
• Achieve personal sales-per-hour, average sales, and total net sales goals.
• Maintain high standards of visual merchandise management to maximize sales.
• Open and close cash registers, including counting money and balancing drawers.
• Manage a specific product category by setting goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
• Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area Manager.
• Complete modules from the management manual, including leadership, recruiting, and hiring.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Human Resources.
• No prior experience or training is necessary.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
• A strong interest in a long-term commitment.
