As of 26 October 2026, our finance field page lists 4,368 open finance internships from 1,404 companies, and 546 of them were added this week.
That page collects postings open to finance students, so the count is wider than roles titled as finance jobs. Our finance roles page lists 1,477 open finance internships from 684 companies on the same date, and 169 of them were added this week. The roles on that page include investment banking, corporate finance, risk, treasury and wealth. This guide covers which employers have roles open, what the postings ask interns to do, the pay and eligibility terms they state, and when to apply for summer 2027. Employer details come from postings as listed on Intern Insider on 26 October 2026. Postings change quickly, so the posting you apply through is the final word on its own terms.
Finance internships open now#
The 1,477 roles on the roles page come from 684 companies, a little over two per company. Among the employers the field page shows first, Lazard has five open roles, and Aflac, Associated Bank and Koch each have three.
Other employers with open finance roles on the pages today include JPMorganChase, Mizuho, Raymond James, William Blair, State Street, Barclays, Santander and Baird. Corporate finance internships also sit inside operating companies. Keurig Dr Pepper and Boston Scientific both have finance roles open.
The roles page has a page for each city. On 26 October 2026 it lists 158 open finance internships in New York, 84 in Chicago, 57 in Houston, 37 in Boston, 35 in Toronto and 20 in Montreal. The United States roles page lists 1,343 open finance internships from 620 companies.
Titles to search for#
Finance internships are not always titled "finance internship." Titles on the pages today include:
Summer Analyst, used by Lazard, Mizuho, Raymond James, William Blair, JPMorganChase and Santander.
Corporate Finance, US Coffee Intern, used by Keurig Dr Pepper, and Finance Intern, a common title on the roles page.
FP&A Intern at Papa Johns in Atlanta, where FP&A stands for financial planning and analysis.
Treasury Intern at TotalEnergies in Houston.
Undergraduate Finance Summer Internship, used by State Street.
Co-op and Student Intern, which show up on the Canadian pages.
Searching only for one of those titles misses the others. The roles page groups them as finance jobs, and the field page also picks up postings that accept finance students under a different title.
What finance interns do#
The work depends on the desk. Six postings read on 26 October 2026 show the range.
| Employer and role | Location | Work described in the posting | Requirements worth noting |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lazard, Corporate Finance Advisory Summer Analyst | New York, New York | Corporate finance, capital structure and financing advisory for corporate and sponsor clients | Summer 2028, graduation in December 2028 or May/June 2029, on-site, no visa sponsorship |
| Mizuho, Energy Investment Banking Summer Analyst | Houston, Texas | Financial models, valuation, client materials, and live financing and mergers and acquisitions work | Ten weeks, penultimate undergraduate year, graduation December 2028 to June 2029, GPA of 3.5, no visa sponsorship |
| Raymond James, Investment Banking Summer Analyst, Diversified Industrials | Mc Lean, Virginia | Models for debt and equity financing, valuation including discounted cash flow, and transaction research | Finance, accounting, economics or business administration focus, work authorization in the US without sponsorship now or in the future |
| JPMorganChase, Commercial and Investment Bank Risk Management Summer Analyst | New York, Plano, Dallas, Houston, Chicago and Los Angeles | Nine weeks in risk management inside the Commercial and Investment Bank | GPA of 3.2, graduation December 2027 to June 2028, authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, on-site |
| State Street, Undergraduate Finance Summer Internship 2027 | Boston, Massachusetts | Corporate finance projects, analysis, and process improvement | Ten weeks, junior or senior year after the internship, on-site, sponsorship not available |
| Keurig Dr Pepper, Corporate Finance, US Coffee Intern | Burlington, Massachusetts | Royalty forecasting, accruals, monthly close and variance analysis | Master of business administration (MBA) enrollment, bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field, hybrid, 7 June to 13 August 2027 |
Three kinds of seat show up in these postings. Advisory and banking roles at Lazard, Mizuho and Raymond James centre on models, valuation and live transactions. The JPMorganChase role centres on risk. State Street and Keurig Dr Pepper centre on corporate finance inside a company, one at a financial firm and one at a beverage company. The Keurig Dr Pepper posting is for students already in an MBA program, so read the degree line before you assume every corporate finance title is an undergraduate role.
Audit and tax internships are a different track. The accounting internships guide covers where those roles are and how they relate to licensure.
Eligibility terms to check before you apply#
The same postings set different terms, and several are easy to miss if you only read the title.
Year of study. The table above has the class year or graduation window for Lazard, Mizuho, JPMorganChase, State Street and Keurig Dr Pepper. The Barclays Banking Associate posting in Chicago asks for graduation between December 2027 and June 2028. William Blair asks for graduation between December 2027 and July 2028. Santander's finance and accounting summer analyst postings in Boston, New York and Miami ask for graduation in May or June 2028.
Grades. The Lazard shareholder advisory posting in New York asks for a minimum GPA of 3.7. Mizuho and Santander ask for 3.5. William Blair prefers 3.5. JPMorganChase and Barclays ask for 3.2. We did not see a GPA minimum in the State Street or Keurig Dr Pepper requirements we read.
Work authorization. Lazard, Mizuho, Raymond James, JPMorganChase, State Street, Barclays, William Blair, Santander and Keurig Dr Pepper each state that sponsorship is not available for the role we read. Raymond James asks for that authorization now and in the future.
Location and hours. Most of these roles are on-site. Keurig Dr Pepper is hybrid, three days a week in Burlington. The Aflac private credit internship is hybrid and asks for at least 60 percent of the week in the New York office.
Pay stated in the postings#
Each posting in this guide is listed as paid. These state a figure, as read on 26 October 2026:
| Posting | Stated pay |
|---|---|
| Mizuho, Energy Investment Banking Summer Analyst | $2,115.38 per week |
| Keurig Dr Pepper, Corporate Finance, US Coffee Intern | $2,250 per week, plus a $7,000 sign-on bonus |
| Lazard, Shareholder Advisory Summer Analyst | Base salary of approximately $120,000 USD |
| Lazard, Restructuring Summer Analyst, Chicago | Base salary of approximately $120,000 USD |
| ICE, Market Regulation Intern | $30 per hour |
| New York Life, Investment Research and Analysis | $27 per hour |
| Associated Bank, Commercial Banking, Omaha | $17.00 to $26.71 per hour |
| Manulife, Global Wealth and Asset Management Operations Co-op | Prorated salary range of $42,900 to $56,600 USD, based on the length of the work term |
The two Lazard postings state a base salary of approximately $120,000 USD, subject to qualifications and education, and they do not say whether that figure is the pay for the summer or an annual rate. The Manulife figure is for a co-op in Boston running from 5 January to 22 April 2027. The other postings in this guide do not state a rate, so confirm pay with the employer before you accept.
The charter, and what postings ask for instead#
None of the open postings we read lists the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter as a requirement. They ask for a degree in progress, and sometimes for a major, a GPA, Excel or PowerPoint, and authorization to work.
If you want the charter later, CFA Institute says the program is three exams and that using the charterholder designation also requires at least 4,000 hours of relevant work experience, completed in no fewer than 36 months. That experience has to involve the investment decision-making process, or work that informs it. You can complete the hours before, during or after the program.
Enrollment is separate from the charter. On its policies page, CFA Institute says an undergraduate can enroll when the Level I exam window is 23 months or less before the graduation month, and that Level II requires the candidate to be within 11 months of graduation. Another entrance option is 4,000 hours of work experience, higher education, or both, over at least three sequential years. Paid internships count toward that entrance option, and that entrance work does not have to be investment related. CFA Institute also requires a valid international travel passport to register and sit the exam.
Summer 2027 finance internships#
Summer 2027 finance internships are already posted, and several apply-by dates fall on 30 October 2026, with later dates running to 31 December 2026. Summer 2028 is open too. Lazard's corporate finance, shareholder advisory and restructuring summer analyst postings are for summer 2028, and each shows an apply-by date of 30 October 2026.
Other dates, as listed on Intern Insider on 26 October 2026:
30 October: Lazard, Raymond James, William Blair, Keurig Dr Pepper, Associated Bank, and the Baird private wealth internship in Dallas.
30 November: the Barclays banking associate posting in Chicago, an 8-10 week investment banking internship.
1 December: the Aflac private credit internship in New York, a 10-week summer program.
31 December: the Morgan Stanley finance summer analyst posting in Montreal, covered in the Canada section below.
Some summer 2027 finance postings have already closed. The Barclays quantitative finance associate posting closed on 29 September 2026. The American Express undergraduate finance posting closed on 1 October 2026. Open Barclays roles are on the Barclays company page, which listed five open internships on 26 October 2026. American Express programs are covered in the American Express internships guide.
Postings do not always stay open until their stated deadline. In our analysis of when internship postings really close, about a third of postings were already gone by the time their own deadline arrived. The summer 2027 application timeline shows when each wave of employers tends to open, and the summer 2027 internships page lists open roles across fields.
Finance internships in Canada#
As of 26 October 2026, the Canadian finance roles page lists 115 open finance internships from 71 companies, and 28 of them were added this week. The Canadian finance field page lists 356 open roles from 150 companies. The roles page shows 16 open roles at RBC.
Four postings read the same day show how the titles differ from the United States list:
TD, Global Markets Intern/Co-op in Toronto is a summer 2027 role at TD Securities, on-site, with an apply-by date of 30 October.
RBC, Relationship Manager Student Intern, Commercial Financial Services in Montreal is a four-month winter 2027 co-op, on-site, with an apply-by date of 30 October.
Manulife, Investment Co-op, Venture Capital in Toronto is a summer 2027 hybrid co-op. It asks for current enrollment in engineering, business or science. The posting describes early and growth stage investments in North American business-to-business software startups.
Morgan Stanley, Finance Summer Analyst Program in Montreal is 14 weeks in summer 2027, on-site, with an apply-by date of 31 December. It asks for a bachelor's degree in progress in accounting, finance, business administration, management or a related field, and for written and verbal English and French.
For Morgan Stanley's other student programs, see the Morgan Stanley internships guide. Titles in Canada often use "co-op" or "student" as well as internship titles, so search the roles page for the full set.
How to prepare an application#
Match the posting. Mizuho and Raymond James name financial modeling and valuation. Keurig Dr Pepper names Excel and royalty forecasts. State Street asks for Excel or a similar tool, and lists exposure to Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Python, SQL or R. Put the items a posting names near the top of your resume, where you have used them.
Check the degree line. An undergraduate summer analyst posting and an MBA corporate finance posting can share a season. Keurig Dr Pepper asks for MBA enrollment. The JPMorganChase role accepts a bachelor's or a master's program.
Check authorization and GPA before you spend time on a form. The terms above differ by employer and can rule out a role before anyone reads your resume.
Apply to more than one employer. With a little over two roles per company on the roles page, spreading applications across employers is more useful than perfecting one.
Use the guides. Our business internship resume guide covers how finance recruiters tend to read a resume, and the cover letter guide covers the letter. The guide on how to get a finance internship covers the application steps.
