About the role#
The Assembly Intern supports production operations at our Marysville plant. You will contribute to daily, weekly, and long-term projects while helping the team meet specific plant goals. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring a 40-hour weekly commitment.
What you'll do#
- Develop standardized communication strategies for key process indicators.
- Assist with prototype and engineering-specific production builds.
- Collaborate with the Planning Specialist on data mining activities.
- Partner with Lean and Planning Specialists to launch division 5-S and production communication boards.
- Organize the assembly manufacturing network share drive by setting up a common folder and file system.
- Work with IT specialists to support the launch of a new online production database.
- Collaborate with process and quality engineers on standardized work instructions and document updates.
- Gather engineering samples, organize shipments, and distribute daily production data.
- Support plant physical inventory activities and assist other departments as needed.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a college program, preferably in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in the MS-Office Suite.
- Advanced understanding of MS Excel, including Macros and formulas.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and accept direction from multiple sources.
- Proactive and outgoing approach to teamwork.
- Flexibility to work off-shift hours, including overtime on days or weekends when required.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
