About the role#
This is a full-time, year-round internship based at our manufacturing facility in Marysville, Michigan. You will work with the Environmental, Health, and Safety team to support compliance, employee training, and workplace inspections. This position provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while contributing to plant safety and health programs.
What you'll do#
- Maintain records for compliance and training.
- Assist with assessments including ergonomic, hearing, PPE, and annual hands-on LOTO checks.
- Participate in the Safety Culture Improvement Program and attend weekly Safety Committee meetings.
- Attend Ergonomic Team meetings and gain competency in performing ergonomic assessments.
- Help track Safety Alert completion and enter training records into the database.
- Participate in new hire orientation and EHS-sponsored events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program related to Environmental Engineering, Public Health, Health Administration, or Business Administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
- Strong computer, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
