About the role#
This internship provides hands-on exposure to supply chain operations within the automotive industry. You will work alongside Master Schedulers, Material Planners, and shipping professionals to support projects in the Supply Chain and Logistics department. You will collaborate with plant departments like Finance, Quality, and Purchasing, while also interacting with domestic and international suppliers and transportation partners.
What you'll do#
- Use SAP to support production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Coordinate and track domestic and international shipments across truck, rail, ocean, and air freight.
- Analyze carrier performance using key performance indicators and operational metrics.
- Support material scheduling, packaging planning, and material flow optimization.
- Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting tools.
- Monitor shipment status using carrier websites and logistics data.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma and current enrollment in a college program.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically MS Excel with macros and formulas.
- Ability to work overtime on weekdays or weekends when necessary.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Preferred: Previous experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
- Preferred: Experience using Business Intelligence tools.
