About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work on-site at our Reno, Nevada facility. You will support our Health, Safety, and Environmental team by ensuring site operations meet Valeo Group requirements and regulatory standards. This is a full-time, paid position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Identify and implement Valeo Group safety and security requirements.
- Monitor regulatory surveys and perform risk analyses.
- Help create and oversee site Health, Safety, Security, and Environment procedures.
- Conduct internal audits and inspections, then provide recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in monitoring actions taken to address non-compliance issues.
- Update Safety Data sheets and review environmental work instructions.
- Perform assessments for ergonomics and personal protective equipment (PPE).
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Recent graduates from these programs as of May 2026 are also eligible.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week from June 2027 through August 2027.
- Completed coursework in chemical safety, equipment lockout/tagout, and OSHA/EPA standards.
