About the role#
Youth Villages is hiring a Public Relations Intern to assist our team with daily operations, special projects, and events. You will help execute public relations plans and create content for our various channels. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship based in Bartlett, Tennessee.
What you'll do#
- Gather and distribute media coverage round-ups.
- Interview staff and families to write spotlights and stories.
- Support the team with media opportunities and on-site events.
- Take photos at internal and external events.
- Maintain and update media lists and databases.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including internal reporting and office support.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor-level program or higher in public relations, journalism, or communications.
- Completion of a newswriting course or equivalent experience in PR or journalism.
- Strong computer skills, including database management, word processing, and desktop publishing.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- A collaborative approach to teamwork.
