About the role#
Youth Villages is offering a paid internship for Master's level students during the Spring 2027 semester. This role provides hands-on experience in mental and behavioral health. You will work with families and children in community-based settings. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional, as it depends on the availability of the families we serve.
What you'll do#
- Shadow counselors during home and community-based family sessions.
- Manage a reduced caseload and implement clinical interventions.
- Facilitate therapy sessions for individuals, groups, or families.
- Document your work accurately and on time using an electronic medical record system.
- Attend weekly meetings focused on professional development and clinical consultation.
What you'll need#
- You must be actively pursuing a Master's degree in a social services discipline, such as Psychology or Criminal Justice.
- A current, valid driver's license is required.
- You must have your own automobile for work purposes.
- You must provide proof of auto insurance.
