About the role#
This internship offers a hands-on look at the medical stop loss insurance business. You will work from our regional office in Plano to gain practical experience in the insurance industry. This program is designed to provide insight into our operations and the underwriting process.
What you'll do#
- Underwrite Medical Stop Loss business within the regional office.
- Meet with regional leaders to learn about the various departments and their specific roles.
- Manage multiple tasks at once while completing assigned project work.
- Apply your knowledge of underwriting and actuarial principles to your projects.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 60 college hours from an accredited institution.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program related to Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Risk Management.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Good written and verbal communication abilities, including a focus on confidentiality and diplomacy.
