About the role#
This is a paid internship for students pursuing a Master's degree in a social services field. You will work within our community-based programs to gain hands-on experience in mental and behavioral health. We coordinate with your academic program to ensure the role meets your practicum requirements.
What you'll do#
- Shadow counselors during home and community sessions with our staff.
- Manage a reduced caseload and implement clinical interventions.
- Facilitate individual, group, or family therapy sessions.
- Apply evidence-based practices in your daily work.
- Attend weekly meetings for individual, team, and clinical consultation.
- Complete documentation in our electronic medical record system.
- Provide transportation to various locations as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master’s degree program for a social services discipline.
- Relevant fields include social work, psychology, criminal justice, drug and alcohol counseling, guidance counseling, or marriage and family therapy.
- A valid driver's license, a personal automobile for work, and proof of auto insurance.
