About the role#
Youth Villages offers a paid internship for students pursuing a Master's degree. This position provides hands-on experience in home- and community-based family programs. You will work with a team to support children and families while gaining professional clinical experience. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional, as it follows the availability of the families served.
What you'll do#
- Shadow counselors during family sessions.
- Carry a reduced caseload and implement interventions.
- Facilitate individual, group, or family therapy sessions.
- Provide transportation to various locations as needed.
- Complete documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Attend weekly meetings for individual, team, and clinical consultation.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Master's degree program in a social services discipline, such as Psychology or Criminal Justice.
- A current, valid driver's license.
- A personal automobile for work purposes.
- Proof of auto insurance.
