The Executive Director of Student to Student (STS) will lead the initiative by setting and implementing strategy and overseeing all aspects of the program’s operations. This role involves ensuring operational and educational excellence while scaling the initiative across the Federation network. The Executive Director will serve as the public face of the program, partnering with the advisory community to advance objectives and representing the initiative to funders and community stakeholders.
What you'll do#
- Set and lead the strategy and plans for STS, including the development of a 3-5 year comprehensive strategic growth plan.
- Supervise the STS professional team to ensure rigorous and excellent implementation of all program aspects.
- Communicate the impact of STS effectively across the Federation system and the broader Jewish community.
- Oversee the creation of curriculum and trainings, including the development of instructional manuals and best practices.
- Provide training and support to new and existing communities and conduct independent research to validate program success.
- Build and maintain relationships with school leadership, faith leaders, and organizations to promote interfaith community work.
- Ensure high standards of program delivery through data collection and analysis.
What you'll need#
- An advanced degree in a relevant field such as Jewish engagement, education, interfaith studies, religious studies, or community development.
- Demonstrated experience in leading strategic initiatives.
- Proven experience supervising a team of in-person and remote employees.
- Strong executive presence, including exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A deep understanding of Jewish faith, traditions, and cultural practices.
- Ability to teach and speak in a wide variety of Jewish and other houses of worship.
- Experience in program management, strategic planning, and community engagement.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site position based in New York, NY or Washington, DC (New York preferred).
- The role is paid with a salary range of $155,000 to $175,000.
