About the role#
The Executive Director of Student to Student (STS) leads the strategic direction and operations of an initiative dedicated to fostering interfaith dialogue and combating antisemitism through teen-centered programming. This role involves scaling the program across the Federation network, managing professional staff, and serving as the public face of the initiative. The Executive Director partners with an advisory community to advance program objectives and ensure educational excellence.
What you'll do#
- Set and lead the overarching strategy and multi-year growth plans for the STS initiative.
- Supervise the professional team to ensure rigorous and consistent program implementation.
- Communicate the impact of STS effectively across the Federation system and the broader Jewish community.
- Oversee the development of curriculum, training materials, and instructional manuals.
- Provide support to participating communities by establishing best practices and conducting research to validate program success.
- Represent the initiative to current and prospective funders and build relationships with school leadership and faith-based organizations.
- Collaborate with the advisory committee to implement and track strategic growth goals.
What you'll need#
- An advanced degree in a relevant field, such as education, Jewish engagement, interfaith studies, or community development.
- Demonstrated experience leading strategic initiatives and managing programs.
- Proven ability to supervise teams, including both in-person and remote employees.
- Strong executive presence with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A deep understanding of Jewish faith, traditions, and cultural practices.
- Ability to speak and teach effectively in diverse settings, including various houses of worship.
- Familiarity with school systems and administration is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in New York, New York or Washington, DC. New York is the preferred location.
- The salary range for this position is $155,000 to $175,000.
