About the role#
Student Staff II at Young Life provides an opportunity to gain field ministry experience through training and direct engagement. This role focuses on spiritual, leadership, and resource development within the Houston area, requiring a commitment to the organization's Christian mission and ministry.
What you'll do#
- Learn how to participate in effective Young Life ministry.
- Develop a yearly personal growth plan that fosters a vibrant spiritual life.
- Model excellence in contact work, club, Campaigners, and camping to other leaders.
- Meet with volunteer leaders and area leadership regularly.
- Raise financial support and maintain donor care practices.
- Assist with camp fundraisers and attend committee or adult functions.
- Engage in contact work and participate in team-led club and discipleship ministries.
- Adhere to organizational policies regarding office administration, conduct, and time management.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a college degree, with preference for majors in Business Administration, Psychology, or Communications.
- Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Agreement with the Young Life Statement of Faith and commitment to its ministry standards.
