About the role#
Student Staff II roles provide field ministry experience and training. You will learn how to participate in effective ministry through hands-on work and mentorship. This is a part-time, on-site position based in Hudsonville, Michigan.
What you'll do#
- Develop a yearly personal growth plan to foster your spiritual life.
- Maintain active participation in a church community.
- Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
- Meet regularly with volunteer leaders and area leadership.
- Recruit and train new leaders to build a strong team.
- Model excellence in contact work, club, Campaigners, and camping.
- Raise financial support and maintain donor care practices.
- Communicate ministry updates to your donor partners.
- Assist with camp fundraisers and adult functions.
- Engage in contact work and help conduct Young Life club and discipleship ministry.
- Implement camping strategies and potentially serve on summer staff at a Young Life property.
- Assist with office administration and complete expense reports.
- Adhere to all Young Life policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Set and review yearly ministry and personal goals.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a college degree.
- Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality.
- You must profess a belief in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord.
- You must subscribe to the statements and policies of Young Life, including the Statement of Faith.

- Location: Hudsonville, MI.
- Employment type: Part-time.
- This position is paid at an hourly rate of $15 per hour, depending on experience and education.
