About the role#
Student Staff members participate in field ministry while receiving training. This role focuses on spiritual growth, leadership development, and direct ministry engagement. You will work under the supervision of an area director to gain experience in ministry skills and area strategy.
What you'll do#
- Develop a yearly personal growth plan.
- Engage in contact work and conduct club and discipleship ministry.
- Recruit and train new leaders.
- Meet regularly with volunteer leaders and area leadership.
- Raise financial support and maintain donor care practices.
- Communicate ministry updates to donor partners.
- Assist with camp fundraisers and committee functions.
- Implement summer and school-season camping strategy.
- Participate in the spiritual life of the Young Life community.
- Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
- Set and review yearly ministry and personal goals.
- Assist with office administration and complete expense reports.
- Adhere to all Young Life policies and maintain professionalism regarding office hours and conduct.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a college degree.
- Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Profess a belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord.
- Subscribe to the Young Life Statement of Faith.
