About the role#
Young Life Military offers a long-term internship for those interested in youth ministry leadership. You will work alongside an experienced staff member at a U.S. military installation to serve teens through the Club Beyond program. This role focuses on building relationships, modeling a Christian life, and creating a community where military teens can find support and friendship.
What you'll do#
- Meet weekly with your supervisor to review ministry goals and team agendas.
- Lead and participate in Club Beyond club meetings and small group sessions.
- Develop a 90-day personal growth plan focusing on spiritual reflection and prayer.
- Attend installation Chapel services.
- Attend volunteer leader meetings and mentor one volunteer on a weekly basis.
- Learn to recruit and train new leaders to build a diverse team.
- Assist with community outreach for unchurched teens and discipleship for believing teens.
- Lead and equip volunteers for middle and high school youth ministry.
- Communicate monthly updates to your personal donor partners.
- Discuss financial support and fundraising strategies with your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Must have graduated high school at least 2 years prior.
- A deep love for Christ and for teens.
- Strong initiative and an energetic personality.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- A teachable heart and a commitment to a relational ministry approach.
- Experience or skills in small event planning.
- Willingness to raise a portion of your budget through personal support.

- This is a full-time, paid internship. You are responsible for raising a portion of the salary required for the program.
