About the role#
Young Life Military offers a long-term internship for those who want to grow in their faith while serving youth in a military community. You will work alongside an experienced staff member to lead Club Beyond, an outreach-focused program for military teens. This role requires you to live near the community where you serve and embrace the local military culture.
What you'll do#
- Conduct Club Beyond club meetings and small group ministry with a team.
- Lead and equip volunteers for middle and high school Christian youth ministry.
- Meet weekly with supervising staff to review ministry goals.
- Develop a 90-day personal growth plan to foster your spiritual life.
- Attend Chapel on base and participate in volunteer leader meetings.
- Recruit and train new leaders to build a diverse leadership team.
- Mentor one volunteer weekly regarding their involvement in the program.
- Assist with community outreach to unchurched teens and provide discipleship to believing teens.
- Manage financial support by discussing fundraising with your supervisor and sending monthly updates to your donor partners.
What you'll need#
- You must have graduated high school at least 2 years ago.
- A deep love for Christ and for teens.
- Strong initiative and a teachable heart.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Willingness to raise part of your budget through personal support.
- Commitment to a relational ministry approach.
- An energetic personality.
- Skills in small event planning.

- This internship is based in Alaska, United States.
- The position is full-time and on-site.
- This is a paid internship program, though you are responsible for raising a portion of the salary required for the program.
