About the role#
Young Life Military offers a long-term internship for those who want to serve and grow in their faith. You will work alongside an experienced staff person at a military installation. This role focuses on building relationships with teens, modeling a personal example of faith, and creating a community where they can find hope and friendship.
What you'll do#
- Meet weekly with your supervisor to review ministry goals.
- Lead and participate in Club Beyond club meetings and small group sessions.
- Develop a 90-day personal growth plan for your spiritual life.
- Attend Chapel on the installation.
- Attend volunteer leader meetings and mentor one volunteer weekly.
- Learn to recruit, train, and build a leadership team.
- Coordinate community outreach to unchurched teens.
- Lead and equip volunteers for middle and high school ministry.
- Communicate monthly updates to your personal donor partners.
- Discuss financial support raising with your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- High school graduation at least two years prior to the start date.
- A deep love for Christ and a heart for teens.
- Strong initiative and an energetic approach to ministry.
- Ability to communicate clearly with others.
- A teachable heart and a commitment to relational ministry.
- Skills in small event planning.
- Willingness to raise part of your budget through personal support.
