About the role#
Young Life Military offers a long-term internship for those who want to grow in their faith and serve military teens. You will work alongside an experienced staff member at a U.S. military installation. This role involves building relationships, modeling a personal example of Christ, and creating a community where teens can build friendships and find hope. You will lead and oversee the Club Beyond program, which focuses on outreach and ministry to middle and high school students.
What you'll do#
- Meet weekly with your supervisor using team agenda tools.
- Lead and participate in Club Beyond club meetings and small group ministry.
- Create a 90-day personal growth plan focusing on prayer, reflection, and spiritual life.
- Attend Chapel on the installation and participate in volunteer leader meetings.
- Meet weekly with a volunteer to discuss their involvement.
- Learn to recruit and train new leaders to build a diverse team.
- Assist with community outreach and discipleship for teens.
- Communicate monthly updates to your personal donor partners.
- Discuss financial support goals with your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- You must have graduated high school at least 2 years ago.
- A deep love for Christ and for teens.
- Strong initiative and a teachable heart.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Experience or skills in small event planning.
- Willingness to raise part of your budget through personal support.
- Commitment to a relational ministry approach and an energetic personality.
