About the role#
Young Life Military is seeking interns to serve at the Fort Stewart military installation. You will work alongside experienced staff to conduct Club Beyond, a ministry focused on middle and high school students. This role involves building relationships with military teens, modeling a Christian life, and fostering a community where students can connect and grow. You will live near the community where you serve.
What you'll do#
- Lead and conduct Club Beyond club meetings and small group ministries for teens.
- Develop a 90-day personal growth plan focusing on spiritual reflection and prayer.
- Meet weekly with supervising staff to review ministry progress.
- Attend volunteer leader meetings and mentor one volunteer weekly.
- Learn to recruit and train new leaders to build a diverse team.
- Assist with community outreach to unchurched teens and provide discipleship to believing teens.
- Communicate monthly updates to your personal donor partners.
- Discuss financial support goals with your supervisor.
- Attend Chapel on the installation regularly.
What you'll need#
- You must have graduated high school at least 2 years ago.
- A deep love for Christ and for teens.
- A teachable heart and strong initiative.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Experience or skills in small event planning.
- Willingness to raise a portion of your budget through personal support.
- Commitment to a relational ministry approach.
- High energy level.
Location & details#
- Location: Fort Stewart, Georgia.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, rolling term.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship. Participants are responsible for raising a portion of their salary, ranging from $1,160 to $4,000 depending on the length of the program.
