About the role#
The Training Coordinator Intern supports the development, delivery, and improvement of training programs for Transmission System Operators and Balancing Authority Operators. This role provides experience in coordinating technical training, maintaining compliance documentation, and supporting simulator-based learning. You will work within a real-time operations environment and gain exposure to the tools and systems used to maintain grid reliability.
What you'll do#
- Maintain training records, documentation, and compliance tracking.
- Support the development of training simulator scenarios that reflect events on the Energy Management System.
- Capture and edit video content for training purposes.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to develop content through the ADDIE process.
- Assist in program review and development using the Systematic Approach to Training.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university as a Freshman or higher.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Training and Development, or a similar field.
- Ability to work full-time (up to 40 hours per week) during the summer and part-time (up to 20 hours per week) during the school year.
- Ability to commute to the Golden, Colorado office for hybrid work.
- Preference is given to Freshmen or Sophomores who are willing to continue working through the school year.
- A positive attitude, the ability to work independently, and a willingness to learn technical concepts related to transmission system operations are preferred.
