About the role#
The Generation Major Project Group Intern supports active energy projects including wind, solar, battery storage, and combustion turbine developments. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in project coordination, data collection, and construction support. This position offers exposure to all phases of project execution and helps you build technical and project management knowledge.
What you'll do#
- Support project teams with tracking, reporting, and documentation.
- Participate in field visits to active construction sites to observe project execution and safety practices.
- Collaborate with project managers, coordinators, engineers, and contractors.
- Learn project development and construction processes for various energy facilities.
- Complete assigned tasks under supervision while following established procedures and safety requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current student status as a Junior or higher as of Fall 2027.
- Enrollment in an ABET accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
- Ability to work full-time during the summer, up to 40 hours per week.
- Ability to work part-time during the school year, 16 hours per week.
- Ability to travel if projects are in construction.
- Interest in the energy industry and the future of energy.
