About the role#
This is a paid internship within our Gas Utility engineering departments. You will gain practical experience by supporting operations, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and presenting your work to senior leadership. This role offers hands-on training and the chance to apply your academic studies to real-world utility projects. The internship begins on May 24, 2027, with the potential to extend based on performance and business needs.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project management, pipeline engineering, data cleanup, federal code verification, and documentation preparation.
- Support the Transmission Control Center alongside our engineering staff.
- Work as an entry-level engineering analyst to maintain tools, programs, and databases.
- Perform operational tasks including outage coordination, power flow studies, and power system monitoring.
- Assist with operator training sessions.
- Develop your skills through practical work and collaboration with other interns across the Gas Utility.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or higher at an ABET-accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in Engineering or Gas Project Management.
- Ability to work full-time during the summer and part-time during the school year.
- Capacity to commute to the office in-person for hybrid work.
- Experience with team building and system design is preferred.

- Locations: Denver, Colorado or St Paul, Minnesota.
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Compensation: $23.10 to $24.60 per hour.
