    About the role#

    The External Affairs & Policy internship offers experience in energy policy, regulatory strategy, and stakeholder engagement. You will support the team in evaluating legislative developments, assessing business impacts, and preparing materials for executive decision-making. This role contributes to initiatives regarding the clean energy transition and other company priorities.

    What you'll do#

    • Research legislative and regulatory developments that affect the utility industry.
    • Prepare research inputs for briefing materials, policy summaries, and presentations.
    • Analyze data regarding clean energy, electrification, affordability, reliability, and sustainability.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to support policy and stakeholder engagement initiatives.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university as a Junior or higher as of Fall 2027.
    • Pursuing a degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Public Administration, or Engineering.
    • Ability to work full-time during the summer and commute to the work location.
    • Preferred qualifications include a 3.0 GPA or higher, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and demonstrated interest in energy or environmental policy.
    • Strong research, analytical, and communication skills are preferred.
