    About the role#

    The PSCo Regulatory team is seeking an Energy Policy Intern to support our ongoing policy initiatives. This role involves conducting research, synthesizing complex information, and managing small-scale projects. You will contribute to our efforts in energy policy, infrastructure development, and customer programming.

    What you'll do#

    • Evaluate state policies concerning resource adequacy, generation procurement, transmission and distribution development, and customer programming.
    • Draft research reports for both internal and external audiences.
    • Provide administrative support on projects related to energy policy, new infrastructure, and customer programs.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a sophomore or higher at an accredited college or university as of Fall 2027.
    • Pursuing a degree in environmental policy, political science, law, public relations, or government relations.
    • Ability to conduct independent research on various topics.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat.
    • Experience writing research reports or summarizing complex information into briefs.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft CoPilot or other AI tools.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Denver, Colorado.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Work Modality: Hybrid.
    • Schedule: Full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours per week).
    • Compensation: This is a paid internship with an anticipated hourly pay range of $19.29 to $24.50. Eligible benefits include pension, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and holidays.
