About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work with Planning Engineers on distribution system studies and project development. You will gain practical operations experience while learning about the power grid through mentorship and collaboration. This is a paid, full-time position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Run power flow studies.
- Forecast load growth.
- Design capacity expansion projects.
- Support regulatory filings.
- Evaluate community solar garden interconnection studies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore or higher at an ABET accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
- An interest in power systems.
