About the role#
This co-op position offers students the chance to work on real-world products within the Surveillance Software division. You will contribute to software development for air traffic management systems used at airports. This role is a full-time, paid opportunity for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Apply your academic knowledge to practical software projects.
- Participate in the development of air traffic management software.
- Work with object-oriented design and programming using C++, Python, or Java.
- Utilize Linux or Unix development environments.
- Work with scripting languages.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program with a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
- United States citizenship, as you may be subject to a government security investigation.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Experience with software design patterns, version control tools like GIT or Subversion, Javascript, HTML, CSS, unit test frameworks, or SQL is preferred.

- Location: East Syracuse, New York.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $20.27 to $22.30 per hour, plus a sign-on bonus for those living outside the commuting distance.
