About the role#
Saab is hiring a Systems Engineering Co-Op for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms. You will work in East Syracuse, New York, on a team that designs and improves products for air traffic surveillance and military radar. This is a full-time, on-site, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Apply your academic coursework to solve practical engineering problems.
- Gain experience in product design and engineering skills.
- Analyze, integrate, and troubleshoot complex electronic and software systems.
- Work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of engineers.
- Assist customers and internal teams with system deployments.
What you'll need#
- 2-3 years of progress toward a bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, computer science, or mathematics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Status as a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident, or protected individual.
- Familiarity with systems containing software, network, firmware, or electronic components is preferred.
- Experience with Linux, IP networking, Matlab, C++, or Java is a plus.
- Familiarity with RF or electronic test equipment is helpful.

- Location: East Syracuse, New York.
- Term: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $20.27 to $22.30 per hour, plus a sign-on bonus for those living outside the commuting area.
- Requirement: Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
