About the role#
Saab is looking for an IT Support Co-Op to help with daily technology operations and user productivity. This full-time position is for the Winter 2027 term, running from January through early May. You will work on-site in East Syracuse, New York, supporting local staff and contributing to broader IT initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support for workplace systems, including the Microsoft 365 suite.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, and workstations.
- Resolve basic network and system issues.
- Help manage file system security, data integrity, and access permissions.
- Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical users.
- Research and recommend hardware and software solutions.
- Assist with ongoing IT infrastructure projects.
- Provide basic training and guidance to users on common tools.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate or Bachelor's degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- General understanding of Windows-based systems and basic troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications.
- Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals like TCP/IP, routing, and VPN.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
- A commitment to customer service and follow-up.
- Exposure to Active Directory concepts is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: East Syracuse, New York (on-site).
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Employment: Full-time.
- Compensation: $18.24 to $20.27 per hour.
- Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
