About the role#
This Co-Op position offers hands-on experience within the Contracts and Legal function. You will work alongside Contracts Professionals to support the delivery of products and services to U.S. Government, commercial, and international customers. This is a full-time, paid assignment for the Summer 2027 term, running from May through early August.
What you'll do#
- Review contract terms and conduct pre-contract risk analysis.
- Assist with the administration of government, commercial, and international contracts.
- Manage contract databases and support contract closeout activities.
- Conduct legal and contractual research.
- Participate in contract reviews, status meetings, and team-building activities.
- Prepare and deliver presentations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program with a major in Business, Law, or a related discipline.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize and maintain contract records.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proactive communication skills and a willingness to take on new challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Experience with Oracle, SharePoint, or JIRA is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: East Syracuse, New York.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $18.24 to $23.31 per hour, plus a sign-on bonus for students residing outside the commuting distance.
- Note: Candidates may be subject to a government security investigation and must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
